On 28th February 2011, I submitted my scholarship application form.

In early May I received an email telling me I was in the top 5 and had to attend an interview.

On 28th March I had my interview at 12.10 but I actually turned up at 11.30 and was out by 11.45.

We  had 28 applications from the local schools and Colleges for our 2011 Scholarship. We narrowed this down again this year with a top 5 for both Hull and Grimsby.

Hi all! 

I am Nathan and currently(thanks to Kaplan!) am in an accountantcy apprenticeship. It all started with meeting Kaplan at the summer school 2010 where I went in knowing very little about accountantcy. At the summer school I learnt some of the basics but also had help with writing my CV and sending them off for job applications. Without these services I would probably be struggling to find an apprenticehip still!

My name is Marc, I first met Kaplan on the summer school in 2010, I then went to the meet the employers evening, I think both of these events were very useful. Kaplan have been really good for helping me in getting me a job and training me at the moment, and in helping me pass my exams. I am currently studying towards my AAT level 3. I would recommend anyone to follow this route with Kaplan.

Kaplan held its 4th successful parents evening on Monday 31st January at our Hull Centre from 1800 until 2000.

It was very well attended with standing room only and we discused the options for an Apprenticeship in Accountancy and Business. We also had an employer from Dutton Moore Accountants telling everyone what an accountant would do as part of their job and what they look for when they are recruiting.

Well, we have suffered another disappointingly wet August and autumn is nearly upon us. At Kaplan that can mean only one thing - the start of a new term of courses.
