Yesterday we had the final interviews to decide the Reading Scholarship winner.
It has been a closely fought competition - 9 candidates were invited in to give a presentation on "why I should win the Kaplan Scholarship". The judging panel were not given any information about the candidates, other than their name. So it was up to each individual to make the most of their 10 minute slot.
5 were chosen to come back and yesterday faced a panel of interviewers from Reading Borough Council, The AAT and Howarth CLark Whitehill.
The winner is Lauren Ball from TVU. Lauren was chosen because she was quitely confident and came across as well prepared - she had done her homework she knew why she wanted to be an accountant, all and about the AAT and what she might go on to do once she has qualified with AAT.
Well done Lauren!!
