Tips for applying for apprenticeship jobs
Many people make the mistake of just ‘clicking apply’ and applying for jobs and not researching or preparing for them first, so here are some simply tips about the basic tasks you should do before applying for any vacancy.
Before you apply for any job make sure you have:
- Confirmed your ability to travel to and from the place of work
- Confirm your understanding of the apprenticeship scheme you are applying for – there are details on this website
- Research the company before applying for this vacancy – look at their website and make notes
- Read through and understood the job description - print this out and make relevant notes
- Make sure you have a suitable email address on your CV, that is suitable for potential employers to see/use to contact you
Once you have applied for the vacancy:
- Make sure you have a voicemail service on your phone so that if you are contacted about the vacancy the caller can leave a message
- Regularly check for messages on your phone
- Keep a regular check of your emails in case you are notified of new vacancies or an employer has made contact with you
If you are thorough in doing this your chances of success will significantly increase.

I cannot see any entry under your name on our application system, so I advise you load your CV to our CV service section of the apprenticeship website and we will contact you accordingly when a vacancy comes up that you would be suited to. All our vacancies are advertised on the national apprenticeship service website, so you should be able to see all our opportunities there.

I'm unemploy at the present and finished Book keeping level one and wanted to do AAT level 2 and trying to get apprentice with Kaplan and didn't get reply.. i am depair now. bcos i don't know what to do and how to start from this.. please help
