What are the entry requirements?

You must:

  • Be aged between 16 and 24
  • Have a job working at least 30hrs+. Kaplan will help you to find a job

You must not:

  • Have a degree, HND, Level 4 or equivalent
  • Be currently doing a course which is funded by another college

What can I expect from a Customer Service Apprenticeship?

As well as earning an average weekly wage of £200#, you’ll be entitled to paid holidays and gain experience of working in a real life office environment – something your friends who are still at college won’t be getting.

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll be the face of the company and regularly assist customers. Duties will vary between job types, but in most cases you’ll be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way – whether that’s by offering information, advice, answering questions or handling complaints.

What happens after I’ve completed my Apprenticeship?

When you’ve completed your Apprenticeship, you’ll gain an NVQ in Customer Service. You’ll improve your future earning potential and career prospects by having a well-respected qualification on your CV.

Once you progress in your job and with your employers support you could complete a Level 3 Customer Service or Management Apprenticeship. This means you can apply for jobs in a variety of roles and organisations, with a typical starting salary of £12,000 to £14,000*.
